The National Archives

There is much material about Wiltshire and its people held at the National Archives in the records of central government. In addition the TNA hosts the ‘Discovery’ catalogue which includes a copy of pre-2007 catalogues from Wiltshire and Swindon Archives. Finally, the TNA website also includes information of general use to researchers such as tips on reading old handwriting and Latin.
