Dec. 19th 1727. 'This day ye Dean and Chapter, elected me Steward'.
Oct 4th 1732. 'Upon resignation of ye Treasurer's Key, I was ys Day made Subdean'.
June 25th 1734. Mem. "This Day I resigned the office of Archdeacon".
[Some accounts and memoranda may relate to Westminster Abbey as Willes appears to have held preferments at Lincoln and Westminster simultaneously].
