Description | Written by Edward Kyrle Money to his family in England while he was serving in India as Interpreter and Quartermaster in the 2nd and 7th Light Cavalry and the 10th Cavalry. The letters are written from on board ship and from Nimach, Calcutta, Muttra, Nagkunda, Jalalabad, Ludhiana, Kurnool and Kabul and Khohistan camps. He writes of his perpetual financial problems and promotion prospects, general dislike of life in India, and family matters. He died at Ludhiana in November 1841, aged 31. |
