The accounts also include brokerage and the purchase and disposal of stock in other companies, e.g. the East India Company. Note 10 December 1695 during the War of the Grand Alliance (1688-1697) on the loss of the ship "Christanus Quintus" being taken by the French, even though she was supposedly a neutral ship.
