Descriptionafter falling out with James Wyatt, Jacob, 2nd Earl of Radnor (1750-1828) employed Daniel Asher Alexander (1768-1846) to undertake extensive building work at Longford ; these are specifications and correspondence with sketches and plans from Alexander and James Pritchett to Lord Radnor and 'Gatrill', presumably the onsite builder (early mention of a water closet); other properties included in the specifications are Coleshill House, Barford House and the chancel in Downton parish church; also transport of heavy building materials from London to Longford by canal by Joseph Barnard
