Administrative History | In 1903 Brakspear persuaded Palmer to commission him to measure and draw the unoccupied Bewley Court and to carry out some limited repair work in 1904. In 1915 Brakspear did a scheme or two to make the house habitable for Palmer and then negotiated Cooper's purchase of the house from Palmer in 1917. Brakspear produced a scheme for Cooper in 1917 and started work in 1918 but later that year he was asked to produce a reduced scheme. In 1921 a third scheme for the extension was produced. |
