1. 1830 Plan of lands in the parish of Lacock, showing the mill. 2. 1830-1850 Extract from the marriage register of Britford showing the marriage of Thomas Bowden and Hannah Bowden in 1809; extract from the baptism register of Britford showing the christenings of Sarah (1811) and Anne (1813), daughters of Thomas and Hannah Bowden; notes of the extracts obtained and enrolled; list of certificates. 3. 7 May 1840 Letter from the War Office to H J Boulton confirming that Joseph Bowden died at St Helena on 16 Mar 1819. 4. 14 Oct 1850 Memorandum that a field and two parcels of land purchased by William Henry Fox Talbot of Mr and Mrs Bennett and Miss Bowden, has an annuity due to Sarah Duck and the vendors have agreed to deposit £25 in a savings account in the names of West Awdry and William James Boulton, to be paid to Sarah Duck by them as necessary. 5. 30 Sep 1850 Appointment in fee of the moiety of a withy bed converted into two gardens at Shitten Lane, and two pieces of arable land in the parish of Lacock from John Bennett of 3 St Peters Street, Islington, Middlesex, Carpenter, and Ann his wife, and Sarah Bowden of the same place, spinster, to William Henry Fox Talbot of Lacock Abbey. 6. 17 Oct 1805 Copy will of George Bowden of Lacock, innholder. 7. 13 Aug 1850 Deed to bar entail of lands and premises at Lacock from John Bennett of 3 St Peters Street, Islington, Middlesex, Carpenter, and Ann his wife, and Sarah Bowden of the same place, spinster, to Thomas Bennett of Edward Street in the parish of St Leonard, Shoreditch, Middlesex, carpenter. 8. 6 Jan 1798 Assignment by way of mortgage of three cottages with gardens, and a close of arable land, late an orchard, at Naish Hill, and a withy bed, late the site of a messuage with garden and orchard at Shitten Lane in the parish of Lacock, and two grounds of arable land in Lacock from George Bowden of Lacock, carpenter, and John Heath of Chippenham, gent, his trustee, to John Coller of the parish of Kington St Michael, yeoman. 9. 1 Jan 1798 Feoffment of a messuage, garden and orchard, and a close of meadow adjoining called Street Close, and a barn and garden adjoining in Naish Hill, and a messuage and appurtenances with orchard and garden near a mill late occupied by Joseph Colborne, two closes of arable land part of the last mentioned messuage called Masseys Tenement, and a tenement, garden and orchard at Naish Hill called Clarks, all in the parish of Lacock, from William Webb of Lacock, cooper, only son and heir of William Webb late of Lacock, tailor, to George Bowden of Lacock, carpenter, and John Heath of Chippenham, gent, his trustee. |
