Undated letter from John Talbot to Mrs Davenport at Bredon: thanks her for information on the Charlton and Lacock estates; the house in Greek Street is being pulled down; he is suffering from gout; glad is nieces are better; hopes that a purchase of Mr Muridge's estate will allow him to enclose land at Lacock as he would own all but one piece of land in the parish and treble the value of the estate.

56. 3 Oct 1711 Letter from William Marsh to unknown saying he had been visited by the late gardener to Mr Ernley, who married a woman from the house. He wanted £30 to do the gardens but Marsh eventually got him to agree to £26 for looking after the garden, mowing the lawns and digging the churchyard.
57. 1712 Account from the overseers of the poor for Isleworth to John Talbot for poor rate charges for land rented by Talbot.
