Is sorry Barbara (her daughter) is ill. Gives details of a cottage at Eltham he has just acquired that used to belong to Sir Charles Hudson. Gives accounts of lands at Lacock and Lackham, and the rentals, and discusses social matters. 7. 6 Apr 1774 Letter from John Talbot to Martha Davenport sending an account of the lands at Lacock so she can more effectively manage the estate when she inherits it. Hopes his brother in law won't be upset by this but the letter isn't addressed to him and the lands will come to the Davenport family through her anyway. Promises to send the survey of Charlton manor.
