Letters 458, 462-4, 468, 478 various properties sold to the tenants including Bowden Hill Farm (2 lots), one for £165 and one for £175 to Mr Archibald William Doel; Whitehall Farm offered at £8,300; Wick Farm offered at £10,250; Mr Chivers offered Nethermore Farm at £2,500.
1945 Lacock Estate has been broken up.
Mr Foley retired in 1946 due to ill health and advancing years.
NB The letters from number 506 to 604 are all copied on to odd scraps of paper, backs of old invoices, used envelopes etc, because of a paper shortage.
