Description1. 2 Apr 1819 Letter from W H Awdry and response from William Read King: 2 cottages on Nash Hill burnt down; is there any general insurance for Mr Talbot's property at Lacock; the propriety of rebuilding them, especially due to the distance from Lacock; Mr Shewring lived in one and wishes to rebuild.
2. 21 Apr 1825 Letter from William Henry Fox Talbot: he has returned to England, taken rooms in Albany and asks if agreement has been properly drawn up.
3. 14 Nov 1826 Letter from C L Hoggart: Mr Johnson has agreed to sell his estate near Hatfield to Mr Talbot. Draft from William Read King mentions price Ware Park sold for and what price he hopes he could get Mr Johnson's estate for.
4. 12 Jan 1834 Letter from William Henry Fox Talbot: Mrs Thackeray inherited certain lands at Bredon and now wishes to sell them. Response from William Read King: need to ascertain the terms of Mrs Thackeray's marriage settlement and ensure the full price is gained.
5. 19 May 1834 Letter from William Henry Fox Talbot enclosing a cheque for £100, cut in half.
6. 22 Jul 1834 Letter from W H Awdry: question of the Grant of Great Tithes arising from the Demesne Lands at Lackham following the sale of Lackham by Mr Montagu to Captain Rooke, with detail from the Reference Book.
7. 6 May 1790 Certificate of the burial of Mrs Martha Davenport.
8. 24 Sep 1836 Draft and unsigned fair copy of William Read King's declaration: his length of employment in the management of the Lacock estate, whether the annuities had been paid to Catherine Self and John Davenport, and the parentage of William Henry Fox Talbot.
