3. 21 Jun 1821 Draft lease of a house and yard in West Street, Lacock from William Henry Fox Talbot of Lacock to John Gale of Lacock, carpenter.
4. 1825 Draft lease of a messuage and premises in the High Street, Lacock from William Henry Fox Talbot of Lacock to George Carey of Lacock, tiler and plasterer.
5. 1825 Draft lease of two messuages or tenements in the High Street, Lacock from William Henry Fox Talbot of Lacock and William Brinkworth of Lacock, baker.
6. 18 Oct 1827 Letter to William Read King from West Awdry enclosing a conveyance between William Henry Fox Talbot and Mr Bruges, to be approved, and informing him of some legal matters regarding the lease and conveyance. He asks him to send any changes to his father. Includes William Read King's reply confirming he has no objections.
7. 15 Feb 1826 Letter to William Read King from William Henry Fox Talbot to advise he is going away for some months and wants the conveyance to be prepared so he can sign it before he leaves. No indication of which conveyance is being referred to.
8. 27 Dec 1825 Letter to W H Awdry from William Read King concerning the conveyances between William Henry Fox Talbot and various other parties; some have been executed and some have not; talking about Beaven's purchase and a Mr Tilby, and other legal matters.
9. 1 Feb 1826 Letter to William Read King from William Henry Fox Talbot asking for information about the purchase of Cloves Wood. Includes reply concerning Cloves Wood.
10. 7 Feb 1826 Letter to William Read King from West Awdry enclosing drafts of deeds to look over, with two observations on the conveyance from Talbot to Beaven.
11. 9 Feb 1833 Letter to William Read King from West Awdry about Mr Harman's wanting to apply for a property in Bewley Common, having succeeded to the late Mr Richardson's property at Bowden Park. Includes brief particulars of the property.
12. 25 Oct 1825 Letter to William Read King from Mr Tilby enclosing an abstract of a deed with Mr Peckham's observations (not included) and a note to William Henry Fox Talbot from William Read King forwarding the abstract to him.
13. 27 Nov 1825 Letter to William Read King from William Henry Fox Talbot about various conveyances, asking for information on the lease of Lacock Abbey, assessed taxes and other matters. Includes reply from William Read King with comments on taxes and the papers referred to.
14. 21 Oct 1825 Letter to William Read King from Guy & Mitchell about an abstract of a deed between Talbot and Taylor. Includes reply from William Read King.
15. 29 Sep 1825 Letter to William Read King from W W Awdry concerning an award for enclosing Melksham Forest, and to say he has given a copy of the conveyance to John Awdry who is happy with it and wants his own copy.
16. 23 Sep 1825 Draft letter from William Read King to James Tilby enclosing an abstract from a land tax contract, and some other drafts to Guy & Mitchell and James Tilby concerning the contracts.
17. 20 Sep 1825 Letter to William Read King from W H Awdry explaining some particulars of deeds concerning Blackmore Coppice, Cloves Wood and an allotment in Melksham Forest, mostly identifying quantities of land. This letter is an answer to the next one.
18. 19 Sep 1825 Draft letter to Mr Awdry from William Read King congratulating him on selling a property, and asking for some identification of quantities of land. Refers to above letter.
19. 5 Sep 1825 Letter to William Read King from W H Awdry describing two cottages which are to be sold by private contract to Mr Awdry and Mr Pettifer, in Lacock.
20. 23 Aug 1825 Letter to William Read King from W H Awdry to say he will send an authority for Mr Talbot's signature to enable him to buy at an auction, and about Mr Talbot's intention to sell two cottages by private contract with a condition being that the purchasers pay for the conveyances. If the purchasers agree, he will sent Mr King descriptions of the properties. Includes a reply from William Read King saying the purchaser is bound to pay for his own conveyances, and giving costs for the stamps and parchment and other fees and information.
21. 22 Aug 1825 Letter to William Read King from W H Awdry returning two drafts of leases, and asking advice about various conditions, and about the possible sale of two cottages.
22. 16 Aug 1825 Letter to W H Awdry from William Read King with advice on Mr Talbot's possible selling of properties; has sketched out some conditions and thoughts on completion dates, and other legal matters concerning the sales.
23. 4 Aug 1825 Letter to William Read King from W H Awdry to say Mr Talbot has asked him to sell property and land in the parish of Melksham, and he has advised him to sell by auction as there will be competition for it; asks for advice on what to say about the conveyance prices at the sale, deposit and various conditions. Lists the properties and who they are occupied by.
24. 8 Feb 1825 Letter to William Read King from W H Awdry asking him if he could provide deeds relating to property at Notton for John Awdry and Mr Tilby. Lists the deeds. Includes reply from William Read King to say he needs to be sure Mr Talbot is bound to produce them before he shows them to Mr Tilby.
25. 22 Jul 1825 Letter from William Henry Fox Talbot from Albany to William Read King to say he has put money to King's account.
26. 1825 Draft particulars of the cottages, lands and premises in the parish of Melksham to be sold at auction on 13 Sep 1825.
27. 6 Aug 1813 Draft assignment of the sum of £1500 to William Read King in trust for William Henry Fox Talbot, in the case of Talbot v Feilding in Chancery, from Mr Shakespear.
28. 22 May 1827 Copy draft release of two small pieces of land at Nash Hill, Lacock from William Henry Fox Talbot to Mr George Bailey of Lacock and his trustee Charles Bailey of Chippenham. In pencil, various names and places are crossed out and Harman's draft is added.
