Bundle of farm rentals, land taxes, loan interest, church rates, poor rates and highway rates from 1791 to 1792 paid to or by William Davenport Talbot (attached together by string) for the Lacock estate. Included are rents paid by Farmer Croker for Naishhill farm, Nethermore Farm; land taxes paid by Stephen Vezey on behalf of William Talbot; interest paid on loans to J Drummer, Luke Shearing, Catherine Self; poor rates paid for Melksham area.

48. 21 Dec 1798 Letter on back of bill from Wynnes (medicines) to Mrs Davenport stating about how to reduce the cost of franking, and that John had arrived safely (all 5 feet 8 inches of him) and Jane and William. Enclosed another bill from Stanier, Meire & Co for fabrics etc.
49. 9 Feb 1799 Letter from John Shakespear to Reverend M Mayo, Seend, Devizes regarding an amount owed; asking him to give him directions where he can pay it in London, or he will send a letter to Mrs Davenport in Bath who would pay it.
50. Weekly washing bills for Master Shakespear from Aug 1798 to Dec 1798 and an account totalling all money owed (18).
51. Bill for half years tuition and board fees for Master Shakespear including mending, washing and transport provided (no school on paper).
