Description1. 11 Mar 1963 and 22 Oct 1965 Letters in the same envelope from Thelma Vernon to Alexander and Mrs Burnett-Brown concerning historical information of the family including the Baynard and Montagu families of Lackham, the uncalendared papers at Lacock, other calendars of estate papers, the dispute between Olive Talbot and Grace Mildmay, tombs and headstones, and early 18th century Davenport correspondence.
2. 15 and 30 Oct 1962 Letters in the same envelope from K Rogers to Alexander Burnett-Brown concerning research on the Sharington family, wards deeds and their availability and responses to queries by Pevsner. Writes from the Institute of Historical Research at Senate House. Includes a transcription of PCC 44 Darcy: memorial of the will of Sir Henry Sharington, proved 7 Dec 1781 by Grace Mildmay. Second letter outlines the inquisitions post mortem of Sir William and Sir Henry Sharington.
3. 18 Oct 1962 Copy letter from [Alexander Burnett-Brown] to Dr Pevsner in response to Pesvner's sending proofs of the section of Buildings of England for Lacock Abbey. Gives some suggestions, and a copy of "The story of Lacock".
4. 11 Aug 1966 Letter from Anthony Methuen to Alexander Burnett-Brown concerning Lacock Abbey coats of arms, including an unidentified coat at Lacock.
5. 4 Jan-6 Feb 1966 Letters between [Anthony Methuen] and Alexander Burnett-Brown concerning coats of arms and some suggestions. Includes a list of coats of arms in the ceiling and spandrils.
6. 2 May 1965 Letter from Thelma Vernon to Alexander Burnett-Brown concerning church monuments and the inventory of Anne, Lady Beauchamp.
7. 10 and 23 Jul 1959 Letters from Thelma Vernon to Alexander Burnett-Brown about the date of death of Sir Henry Sharington.

13. 17 Dec 1960 Letter from Vera Ledger to Alexander Burnett-Brown to say she has not been able to find Lady Mary Mansel Talbot's will, so it looks like she did not make one. Includes another letter of 9 Dec 1960 from Vera Ledger concerning the will and the date of death of John Ivory Talbot.
14.18 and 20 Dec 1960 Letters from Donald Scott to Alexander Burnett-Brown in response to notes from the latter on the early history of Bowden and the early life of Sir Henry Sharington.
15. Extract from the synopsis of registers at the Wiltshire Archaeological Society library in Devizes concerning entries of burials of members and kinsfolk of the Talbot and Sharington families.
