Letters to Charles Henry Talbot.
Description
1. 10 Mar 1898 from G E Brown apologising for the delay in returning books due to pressure of work. Comments also that the William Henry Fox Talbot memorial fund having had exposure in photographic journals had not elicited much sympathy as it was generally not felt that the restoration of the chancel of Lacock Church was a suitable memorial of photography.
2. 21 Mar 1898 from G E Brown confirming the return by parcel post "Tissandier" and a biography by Dr Crell, and expressing disappointment of the photographic public's apathy to the proposed memorial.
3. 21 Apr 1898 from R W Merriman on behalf of Wiltshire County Council acknowledging receipt of a Charities return.
4. 24 Apr 1898 from Edward Webb enclosing a letter from a gardener (not present) and asking for a loan of some of the armour seen by Mr Webb at Lacock Abbey for an exhibition.
5. 3 May 1898 from Reverend C W Shickle requesting assistance in the history of Langridge Parish.
6. 13 May 1898 from Reverend C W Shickle thanking Charles for his assistance.
7. 15 May 1898 from Mr Pike asking Charles Henry Talbot to consider putting a W C and bathroom at the Grange whilst workmen were there installing a new boiler.
