10. 14 Oct 1915 from William Gilchrist Clark Maxwell concerning questions posed by Charles as to the real character of the Lacock Cup then used as a chalice and notes on "ciborium".
11. 21 Oct 1915 from William Gilchrist Clark Maxwell as to whether George Lambert who spoke of the cup as a "Ciborium" was a member of the firm of Lambert & Son who repaired an Elizabethan chalice at Clunbury; the British Museum Gold Cup was, it seems, made by order of the Duc de Berri for Charles VI of France and figured in several Royal Inventories as "a cup" or "covered cup".
