Description1. Undated note about George Ferris of Milton Manor, Pewsey, valuer called in by the landlord, concerning enclosures divided between landlord and tenant if the tenant agrees.
2. Undated note from William Morris and Co, Oxford Street, reminding customers about estimates and undertake decoration of houses and apartments.
3. 8 Dec 1899 from Mr Maskelyne about subscriptions to a memorial for William Henry Fox Talbot.
4. 27 Apr 1900 Note from Morris & Company about what their company can undertake regarding stained glass windows and other memorials such as memorial brasses, tapestries, mosaics, painting etc.
5. 10 May 1900 from Harold Brakspear, architect, about various works and that he has not had time to attend to certain things; and that he would soon be able to attend meetings about Malmesbury, Sherston, Luckington, Littleton Drew, Hullavington and Bradfield; he also states that Clifton Antiquarian Club will be visiting Malmesbury on the 28th and asking if Charles would like to come up for the day.
6. 18 May 1900 from Henry Knee about work to be done for his sister and that an arrangement was acceptable; also correcting something which he felt Mr Talbot had not understood.
7. 21 May 1900 from A E Hudd, Clifton Antiquarian Club, saying he had heard from Mr Brakspear that Charles would like to join the party at the meeting and he, Mr Hudd, would be pleased to have him attend; and whether after lunch he would like to visit Charlton Bradenstoke with them. They would also like to meet with the vicar of Lacock.
8. 23 May 1900 from John Austin about George Face giving up a key about cottage in the High Street and paying up the whole of the rent due.
9. 12 Jun 1900 from Harold Brakspear about certain matters and arrangements and that if he, Charles, comes to Devizes on Thursday would he not say anything about the matters concerned.
10. 15 Jun 1900 from Morris & Company about damage to Charles's wallpaper by mice and how they would like to repair it; and that everything should be done to rid the place of mice.
11. 16 Jun 1900 from Neville Maskelyne saying he is happy as a friend to send a contribution to the chancel although he usually contributes to local churches but that as a local Wiltshire man and a man of science he is happy to make this contribution; he also says that a memorial to his distinguished father should not be housed in some corner of a church.
12. 25 Jun 1900 from Mr Fuller of Neston Park, about the valuation of a property and a tenant and what he had been charging, and were these similar to what Charles had been charging.
13. 25 Jun 1900 from Rosamond Talbot about his endeavour to raise money for the memorial to their father and various family travels and family information.
