TitleLetters to and from Charles Henry Talbot.
Description1. 13 Jan 1899 from H Snowden Ward at the Photogram thanking him for his offer; he does not think a modern view of the chancel would be useful in the direction he had in mind; his notion was to merely emphasise the connection between William Henry Fox Talbot and the church. He is sure that leading photographic societies would contribute to the memorial.
2. 6 Aug 1899 Copy letter from Charles Henry Talbot to H Snowden Ward, about the issue of the memorial which should have appeared in the March issue of the Photogram. He has not seen any feature in the issues. Talks about the fund's progress which is mostly from fees paid by visitors who are shown Lacock Abbey. He hopes for a better result the following year as it is William Henry Fox Talbot's centenary.
3. 10 Sep 1902 from H Snowden Ward thanking Charles for his report on the Memorial Fund in which he mentions the efforts of the Photogram. He is pleased the fund and the work are progressing well.
4. 14 Sep 1899 from Matilda T Gilchrist-Clark about the possibility of some signatures form Lacock on the national address of sympathy to Madame Dreyfus; and various family matters.
