3. 5 Feb 1901 from P Delme Awdry acknowledging Charles' instructions for the rent for Sergeant James Cole.
4. 5 Feb 1901 from Matilda Gilchrist-Clark discussing various newspapers and their stance on home reforms and Imperial Unity; complains that most of the papers are conservative and maybe someone should start a liberal paper. Detests the Daily Mail.

6. 27 Feb 1901 from G Ferris at Milton Manor to confirm he will make a valuation at Manor Farm.
7. 1 Mar 1901 from P Delme Awdry to confirm he has amended James Fry's holdings and has sent Mr Ferris a tracing of the holding from the OS map. Mr Milsom has reported a chimney blown down; Isaac Brewer has complained that the ceiling and inside of the walls of his bedroom need repairing; Thomas Bath wants the gate to his cottage to be repaired; Corsham Water Company has said that the service pipe between Mrs Moore's cottage and Mr Stevens' house at Reybridge has not been laid deep enough and needs to be repaired; would Charles like Awdry to deal with these issues? Enclosed are three notes, one about the service pipe measurements, and the other about the rise of wages for Mr Jones.
8. 22 Mar 1901 from Purdon Clark at the Victoria and Albert Museum to say they have a small collection of photography apparatus in the science branch of the museum so Charles' gift should be accepted. He has retained in his notes the entry about Mr Brakspear's drawings of the tiles at Lacock Abbey and although has been unable at present to look into this hopes to deal with the matter later in the year.
9. 26 Mar 1901 from G Milsom at Wick Farm returning a plan and correspondence about a matter; the District Council has agreed to pay one third of the cost of the proposed foot bridge at Reybridge and the work will be carried out in the summer.
10. 9 Apr 1901 from A E Hudd to confirm when he hopes to bring an excursion to Lacock. Harold Brakspear will arrange the programme.
11. 1 Apr 1901 from William Gilchrist Clark-Maxwell to say he has been in correspondence with Goddard about the copies he had made of part of the older Cartulary as well as transcripts of the Lacock deeds. He would like to publish them in the Magazine but he would like someone independent to go over them first. Talks of further historical information. Says that he thinks the manorial customs will be of interest to not only the Wilts Society but also students of English history generally.
12. 7 Apr 1901 from A E Hudd making arrangements to visit Lacock Abbey.
13. 10 Apr 1901 from probably a family member in Speddoch talking about various estate matters.

16. 30 Apr 1901 from Alfred E Hudd making arrangements for the Clifton Antiquarian Club's visit to Lacock on 23 May.
17. 2 May 1901 from P Delme Awdry to say he has paid £500 to his bank account. Talks about F Croker's creditor's meeting and the amount he owes; he owes at least £2229 and estimates that his assets are worth £1900. He will be paid a year's rent and be entitled to a dividend on the balance due. The estate will be wound up outside the bankruptcy court if possible. The farm will be given up but the date is not settled. Awdry will look after Charles' interest in the matter and will let him know more later on.
18. 2 May 1901 from Edward Brightman, Bristol and West of England Amateur Photographic Association, asking for permission to visit Lacock Abbey.
19. 3 May 1901 from James Fortune about dampness on the exterior wall and inside due to poor construction of the closet.

22. 11 May 1901 from Frederick Banks to say the blocked drain in Brook at Mr Pike's is the main sewer drain that runs on the Mill Farm by Mr Pike's; Edward Bath and Mr Lapham are going to see it shortly. William Hudd's grate needs a new stone covering at the back and the boiler needs resitting.
23. 16 May 1901 from William Gilchrist Clark-Maxwell to say he hopes to attend the memorial meeting. Thanks Charles for looking at his manuscript.
