Description1. 22 Mar 1901 Letter from Reverend B Edwards, The Rectory, Ashleworth, Gloucester thanking Charles for his kind reply and for taking an interest in the old church and that one day he might have the pleasure of meeting him there.
2. 4 Jun 1846 Letter from Charles aged 4 years to his aunt, written in French.
3. Undated letter from [William Henry Fox Talbot] at Melbury to "Jane" saying he cannot give the enclosed relic to anyone but her and wishing he had more information and could work out the initials. Talks about how good the chimney pieces are at Redlynch and how poor he thinks they are there at Melbury; and that other parts need immediate repair. Talks about other members of the family and where they are and what they are doing, and about spending time at the Abbey.
4. Jul 1858 Pamphlet entitled "Instructions and chart for observations of Mars in right ascension at the opposition of 1860 for obtaining the measure of the sun's distance" by G B Airy, Astronomer Royal. On the inside of the pamphlet is a chart tracing the path of Mars over a certain period. Discusses the observations.
5. Jul 1874 Pamphlet entitled "Lacock Parish Church" talking about the state of the church and that it was decided to apply to Mr J T Irvine, at that time engaged under Sir Gilbert Scott on the restoration of Bath Abbey, and request him to examine the church and report on its condition. States what the problems are and where within the church. Contains a list of people to whom contributions can be given and a list of people who have already promised subscriptions.
6. Aug 1877 Booklet entitled "Architectural Notes", compiled by Charles Henry Talbot following visits to several churches and buildings in the area including the parish church in Warminster, Longbridge Deverill Church, Hill Deverill Church, Monkton Deverill Church, Kingston Deverill Church, Woodlands near Mere, formerly a manor house of the Doddington family, and now a farm house is of great interest, and other buildings. Descriptions of these buildings and their heritage which are of local historical and architectural interest.
7. 13 Dec 1842 Booklet presented to William Henry Fox Talbot entitled "The Walk", translated from the work of the German F Schiller for private circulation
8. 1852/53 12 pamphlets from the Philological Society: a series of papers written on subjects of personal interest and of interest to the Society which have been read out and discussed at meetings.
9. 1839 Book by William Henry Fox Talbot entitled "The antiquity of the book of Genesis, illustrated by some new arguments".
