Description1. 21 Apr from L Spackman, secretary of the Corsham Water Works Company Limited, regarding responsibility for payment of water supplied to Whitehall Farm occupied by Mr W Self plus a copy response from Charles of 24 Apr firmly stating that payment for the water supply was the responsibility of the tenant.
2. 22 Apr from L Spackman acknowledging Charles' letter of the same date.
3. 3 May from W Self of White Hall Farm complaining about paying the charge for water after 7 years, that he had been to the expense of clearing out the ponds three times and asking that the closet is attended to.
4. 5 May from Harold Brakspear regarding the clock tower at Lacock Abbey.
5. 6 May from Harold Brakspear with further discussion regarding the clock tower at Lacock Abbey.
6. 7 May from W Self of White Hall Farm about water rate and he would not pay it: "…what use is a farm without water might as well have one without land…".

Notes regarding William Henry Fox Talbot, date of birth and death "One of the principal inventors of Photography and distinguished as a Natural Philosopher, a mathematician and a classical scholar; photographic engravings made by Fox Talbot for sale; that only foreigners were eligible to be honorary members of the Photographic Society of London.
