TitleLetters to Charles Henry Talbot.
Description1. 7 Aug from Professor G D Liveing discussing portraits seen at Berkeley Castle. He remarks that the one of Queen Mary I does not appear to resemble closely the one at Trinity but if it is a genuine one of her then it must have been done when she was younger before she was Queen. The portrait of Anne of Denmark which is hung in the same room but in such a bad light that he could not see it well appears to be like those he has previously seen and Charles' picture may well be a portrait of the same person.
2. 15 Mar from Harold Brakspear about the cottages in Church Street, Lacock: he has looked at the prices with Banks and the surveyor. Gives advice on the price of letting the houses. He says the contract to repair can be prepared at once and Banks can start the same week.
3. 15 Aug from William Gamble of the Process Year Book enclosing a cheque to go towards the Fox Talbot Memorial Fund and asking that it be entered as from A W Penrose & Co.
