Description1. c1917 Copy letter, probably from Richard Foley, to Mr F Latham regarding his tenancy: he can't agree to Mr Latham's wish to terminate it until Charles Henry Talbot's will is proved.

2. Envelope containing:
a. Newspaper cutting on an appeal for Preservation of the Great Medieval Barn at Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire Times 8 Jul 1916
b. Note that the writer has "an aristotle, printed in 1539 and apparently edited by Erasmus, in good condition"
c. Note that the 1839 Tithe Map does not show footpaths. Darley's 1827 map shows some of them.
d. Note that Wilts Notes & Queries (p473) sold to B.H.Styles in 1920.
e. Note that Inquisitions post Mortem are missing parts 1,4,5
f. Note in Latin. Appears to be a passage from Enchiridion de Fide, ad Laurentium. cXXIX
g. 17 Jun 1914 letter from Harold Brakespear discussing the shouldered door in the room under the dining room and the dorter stairs at Lacock Abbey.
h. Note that Calvin, Institution of the Christian Religion, was damp and decayed at the end of the book.
i. Literature for ice and freezing machines from the Wenham Lake Ice Company.

4. 30 Dec 1914 Letter from George White, Keary, Stokes & White, Solicitors, to Charles Henry Talbot regarding the tithe at Vicarage Site and Hilly Pieces and the vicar's liability for rectorial tithe.
5. 10 Dec 1914 Letter from George White, Keary, Stokes & White, Solicitors, to Charles Henry Talbot regarding death duty payments.
6. 18 Nov 1914 Letter from George White, Keary, Stokes & White, Solicitors, to Charles Henry Talbot regarding lands settled at the marriage of Charles Henry Talbot's parents William Henry Fox Talbot and Constance Mundy and proportion of these vested to Mrs Gilchrist Clark (Matilda) and Miss Rosamond Constance Talbot.
7. 5 Dec 1914 Letter from George White, Keary, Stokes & White, Solicitors, to Charles Henry Talbot regarding lands settled at the marriage of Charles Henry Talbot's parents particularly Little Flaxleigh.
8. 7 May 1915 Copy letter from Edmund Awdry to Keary, Stokes and White, Solicitors, about the Larks House change from Boys' Home to Children's Home.
9. 8 May 1915 Letter from George White, Keary, Stokes & White, Solicitors. to Charles Henry Talbot regarding the draft lease of Larks House (copy of draft not present).

19. Receipted bill from Citta Di Sanremo Ufficio del Servizio Moruario for expenses related to the death of Rosamond Talbot (in Italian).
20. Receipted bill from James Tayler & Sons, coal, coke and straw merchants, for 2 tons of coal.
21. Receipted bill from Charles Wiltshire for storage, repairs and moving services.
22. Receipt from Corsham Waterworks for payment of water rates (3).
23. Receipts from Anne Wilkins and Elizabeth Jones for half a year's annuity payable to them under the will of the late Miss Talbot (3).
24. Receipts from Henriette Sanit for half a year's annuity payable to her under the will of the late Miss Talbot (2).
25. 29 May 1908 Letter from P Delme Awdry acknowledging receipt of cheque for £1500 to pay off mortgage.
26. 8 Sep 1909 Letter from Gowen & Stevens, sanitary engineers, regarding the ordering and installation of a new boiler, with literature for an Ideal boiler "B" series.
