Work done by Mr Gale on the estate was not invoiced and therefore not paid for, and would Charles be willing to settle the account. Mrs Gale is in financial difficulties due to her late husband's poor business sense and is having to sell property, and wonders if Charles would be interested in buying.
4. 24 Apr Copy to E J Smart from Charles Henry Talbot in response to the above letter. Charles agrees he owes him but Gale also owed him money. He tried to get him to submit his account but he did not accept help. He may be interested in buying 2 cottages on Nethercote Hill.
