3. 1888-1889 Notes by Charles Henry Talbot covering a wide range of topics, including: photographic and optical processes and ideas about how they could be used in the future; the usefulness of speech recorded; references to religion; notes about a phonograph playing music; hearing people talk on recordings; advantages of having a large house: "You can always put away papers somewhere or other and need not destroy them for want of space".
4. 26 Dec 1889 from John Hayter, tailor, apologising for an error on the cuff buttons of a jacket.
5. 24 Dec 1889 from Ida Funnell enclosing a gift of a poetry book by Fred E Weatherly (enclosed): illustrations of owls and a short poem in the book.
6. 6 and 11 Nov 1899 from the editors of the Photogram about the claim of William Henry Fox Talbot to be the father of photography; they would like to have Charles' suggestions or notes, and some pictures of Lacock Abbey and the church; asks if Charles can lend various things. The second letter thanks Charles for information provided.
7. 1869-1875 Diary by Charles Henry Talbot mostly with personal jottings about where he is staying, his health and what medication he is taking, churches, the weather, architecture, references to Corsham Church, who comes to stay at Lacock, his mother and sisters, work carried out at the abbey and on the estate.
