Description1. 5 Oct 1870 from Reverend J E Jackson confirming his arrangements for a visit to Farley and Northey. Notwithstanding the fact that his old acquaintance Lady Houlton was away he had no doubt that she would make available her "little carriage" but if not he would contact the Landlord of the George Inn at Trowbridge to ensure the availability of a fly and that he would be pleased to stay two nights at Lacock Abbey.
2. 14 Oct 1871 Bill from John Gale for fence repairs.
3. 4 Sep 1875 Memorandum from George Barth & Company offering to hire the Portable Oxygen Apparatus for 15s per month with an option to purchase at £4.10.
4. 19 Feb 1880 from West Awdry to say that on referring to an original mortgage deed he found it dated 22 Sep 1864 and a record of it appears to be an error.
5. 4 Nov 1889 from unknown thanking Charles for information regarding Lacock Church.
6. 14 May 1889 from Thomas Holloway, surveyor and valuer, regarding the proposed surrender of a tenancy of land by Mr Cannon.
7. 16 May 1889 from Thomas Holloway confirming that he would call on Charles the following Saturday morning.
8. 17 May 1889 from West Awdry confirming a payment of £350 into Charles' account at Melksham and has made some payments for Ela Talbot, the apportionments for the Reybridge cottage with Mr Knight seeming respectable and with good references and that he had written to Mr Sturge of Bristol and that he would send on his reply when received.
9. 18 May 1889 from Thomas Holloway returning a schedule lent to him, outlining Mr Cannon's proposal to partial surrender of land and offering to send a plan showing the changes.
10. Undated letter from West Awdry agreeing to omit Charles' name from the Grand Jury Panel, that he did not know the identity of the buyer of Charles' pony at auction but that the net proceeds had been paid into Charles' account at Melksham, that the damage to his servant and carriage had been trifling and that Wilkins was not much of a groom and he suspected less of a coachman.
11. Empty envelope marked "Received from Mr West Awdry Apr 20 1889. Schedule of Cannon's Land".

13. Undated notes regarding a picture of Dumfries and John M'Diamid, architecture in an unnamed church and a book.
14. Undated scrap of paper with "Kemp. Brothers. 4 Union Street Bristol" written on it.
15. Scrap of paper with notes on a regnal year.
16. Undated note "The pamphlet, setting forth the proposed restoration the Chancel of Lacock Church as a memorial to Fox Talbot, was printed in 1896".
