Description1. 30 Jul 1874 from the Reverend J E Jackson enclosing an extract from a sale catalogue regarding a 1322 charter for the building of a chapel at Lacock Abbey. Unfortunately the item had already been sold to Job Edwards of Amesbury.
2. 16 Aug 1876 from Job Edwards thanking Charles Henry Talbot for his translation of the agreement and confirming that he decided to exhibit the agreement in a glass case.
3. 6 Sep 1876 from A C Smith asking Charles Henry Talbot to write notes on some churches visited during "the Salisbury meeting" for a magazine sketch.
4. Mar 1877 Bill from Clarke, Smith, Steele & Smith, dispensing chemists.
5. 17 Apr 1877 from Edward V Stevens, secretary of the Wiltshire Archaeological & Natural Society, concerning a proposed visit of Charles Henry Talbot to his house and society business.

14. 12 Dec 1891 envelope containing the balance sheet of the Chippenham Reading Room and an appeal for future funding. Balance sheet copied not written.
15. 21 Dec 1891 from Ela Talbot sorry to hear of Charles' bad cold, and to say that Rosamond had arrived in Durham and other family news.
16. 23 Dec 1891 from Rosamond Talbot on a visit to Durham Cathedral for William Gilchrist Clark's ordination.
17. 26 Dec 1891 from Ela Talbot commenting on how a frost had caused many slips to and from church on Christmas Day.
18. 29 Dec 1891 from P Delme Awdry to say that he had written to Mr Lapham about the Love Lane drain and would arrange something with him about the flooding.
19. 1 Jan 1892 from Rosamond Talbot reporting on a children's Christmas party and an incident at a theatre in Gateshead where 9 people died.
20. 20 Jan 1894 from Malcolm Low, the purchaser of some Talbot family papers, regarding matters of Talbot pedigree.
21. 13 Aug 1894 from Harold Brakspear thanking Charles for an unknown newspaper cutting and comments on the Heytesbury tiles.

Envelope containing newspaper extracts from: Wiltshire Times 5 Jun 1909 (Notes & Queries) on the taxpayers of Wiltshire in 1327, Devizes Gazette 10 Jun 1909 of an interim report by Mr E Kite on Devizes Charities, and an undated and unattributed extract concerning John Harvard's emigration to America and death.
23. Undated note regarding the re-hanging of the 6 bells of Lacock Church in two rather than three tiers by Messrs Hooper & Stokes.
24. Undated letter from Francis Wichsteen recommending Dr Lush.
