3. 14 Oct 1879 from J E Jackson, Leigh Delamere, Chippenham, about John Thorpe, John of Padua, Longleat, and other various historical figures and houses. He also refers to the fact that he is having three folio volumes bound of original letters and accounts about Longleat.
4. 27 Aug 1880 Printed copy letter to the editor of the Devizes Gazette from Charles Henry Talbot, about when the Conduit House on Bowden Hill was actually built and his facts and architecturally knowledge which support his opinion.
5. 7 Mar 1881 from the Photographic News about a photo of the late William Henry Fox Talbot that had been published in a principal photographic journal in Paris and that many copies of this had been received in England. They would like to publish this picture and the fact that some years previously Mr Fox Talbot had been made an honorary life member of the Society.
6. 8 Mar 1881 from Charles Henry Talbot to the Photographic News saying he would be pleased to have the picture published and also knowledge of how the engraving was made and that this method should come into general use. Discusses some methods of photography and production.
7. 12 Mar 1881 from William Henry Pocock about a contribution to school funds.
8. 9 Mar 1881 from the Photographic News thanking Charles for his permission to print the plate.
9. Mar 1881 from Charles Henry Talbot to the Photographic News thanking them for the copy of the Photographic News dated 11 Mar with the portrait and notice of his father. He was not happy however that his father had been described as the eldest son of William Davenport as he actually was the only issue of the marriage, his father having died when William Henry Fox Talbot was only a few months old. Discusses various photographic processes. Mentions how strongly his father had felt that some of his processes had been unfairly copied and stated as being discovered by others when it was his own invention.
10. 13 Mar 1881 from Herbert Smith of Notton Lodge about the discontinuation of a subscription from Mr Awdry to the schools and enclosing a cheque for a guinea which he hopes will help.

12. 21 Mar 1881 from the Photographic News thanking Charles Henry Talbot for his letter and the various scientific pieces of information he talks about.
13. 20 Jun 1881 draft letter from Charles Henry Talbot to the editor of the Devizes Gazette about the restoration work being carried out in Melksham Church and the fact that the chancel is indeed Norman.
