Description
1. 30 May 1881 from West Awdry enclosing a letter from unknown stating that despite the best efforts of his sister and her son they were losing money on New Farm and asking for a rent reduction; West Awdry's comments on this and other estate matters.
2. 24 Jun 1881 from Edwin Eyres reciting the contents of a letter he had received from the Charity Commission stating that the Commission had no intention of proceeding with the proposed order: the purpose of the order is not stated but assume this is to do with Fussell's Charity.
3. 26 Jun 1881 from Edwin Eyres concerning the distribution of Fussell's Charity.
4. 7 Jul 1881 from John Paley giving his opinion on the dispute relating to the administration of Fussell's Charity and the lack of a decision from the Charity Commissioners and objections from Messrs Wansborough and Eyers.
5. 25 Mar 1883 from F E Awdry thanking Charles Henry Talbot for a cheque.

9. 20 May 1889 from Vice Admiral Walter Cecil Carpenter, second son of the Earl of Shrewsbury, about a proposed visit to Lacock.
10. 21 May 1889 from Vice Admiral Walter Cecil Carpenter thanking Charles for his letter and stating that he hoped to be at Lacock at 3pm the following day.
11. 21 May 1889 from West Awdry suggesting that as "Jones" had gone to Devizes to join the militia for a month they could get possession of his cottage in his absence.
12. 8 Sep 1888 Empty envelope marked "Valuation of W Cannon's land".
