22 Sep 1915, Mr and Mrs Neville Chamberlain came over from Bath.
14 Nov 1915, Anthony Methuen came over from Corsham, the first time he has seen him since he was wounded. "Gave him a copy of my paper, on the successive houses at Bowden".
13 Dec 1915, the soldiers that were billeted in the village were removed to Melksham.
