This extract is wrapped around: a. Undated letter to William Henry Fox Talbot which references the enclosure of the Indenture dated on or about 25 Oct 1683. b. Note to look into William Henry Fox Talbot's Old Deeds to establish "if in the first Settlement there is any such name name as Sharington Talbot" and to search for a specific paper. c. Note to make enquiries of Mr Fleming. d. Note to confirm the marriage between Sharington Talbot and Elizabeth Leighton which queries if her mother was Mary Zouch.
5. 7 Jul 1840 Letter from William Henry Fox Talbot to William Read King relating to the Leighton Pedigree which incorporates the latter's short response. Inside this document is the original letter of 7 July 1840 from William Read King to William Henry Fox Talbot replying to his questions relating to the marriage of Sharington Talbot and Elizabeth Leighton which instigated the correspondence.
6. 31 Jan 1840 letter (in two parts: address and letter) to William Read King from William Henry Fox Talbot seeking his advice about the business of Sheriff "that I may not get into any great scrapes" upon his own assumption of the role.
7. 1841 Draft deed poll by the Right Honorable Lady Elisabeth Theresa Fox Feilding revoking a deed poll made by her in execution of the power of appointment given her by the will of her late husband, Rear Admiral Feilding, over his seal and personal estate. |
