Undated letter to Mrs Davenport from Mrs Bendish. Thanks Mrs Davenport for her many favours, has received a letter from her mother Bendish, who forgives them both. Mrs Lyttelton has written to see she has written to her mother on their behalf, but had not received an answer. Has heard that the parson who married them was threatened ruin for doing it in a wrong hour and with a wrong license, should be glad to hear if this is true. 19. Complains that he made all sure before his relatives got to know about it. She hopes he will make the best of it as he has got a "wild character" and complains that he has married a girl of 16 rather than someone his own age. Has had a nurse offered to her that she thinks Mrs Davenport will like, she having been nurse to the children of John Middleton, heir to Chirk Castle. 26. 27 Apr 1731 Letter to Barbara Davenport from James Colebrooke detailing Mr Davenport's stock and annuities. 27. 17 Mar 1732 Letter to Mrs Davenport from John Dovey giving news from the estate. The workmen have all been kept on as requested to do the chancel and the horses have all come home. He is at present engaged in drawing the master's and Mrs Davenport's accounts out separately. 28. 7 Mar 1732 Letter to Mrs Davenport from Elizabeth Yates saying she has sent everything according to order except several items of clothing and haberdashery yet to be delivered. 29. 15 Nov 1731 Letter to Mrs Davenport from her brother Prideaux Sutton thanking her for the cheese and discussing cousin Sharington. Writes they should get him to marry which will be the best way to "settle his roving fancy". Also talks of "Billy" (William) and the decision to not send him to school but get a tutor to the house. 30. 25 Apr 1730 Letter to Mrs Davenport at Lady Longueville's from Henry Davenport giving her news from home. Writes that the house is a sad place without her. He has heard Billy read his book "like an archbishop". Note at end of letter from Will Davenport. 31. Hopes Lady Longueville will visit this winter. 32. 16 Sep 1730 Letter to Mrs Davenport from Mary Sutton thanking her for her good company at Bredon. Reports that the Dean of Ely is dead and it is thought the Dean of Gloucester will be moved to Ely. 33. Undated letter to Mrs Davenport from [S] Yelverton. Could not let a messenger go from hence without expressing concern for Mrs Davenport on what has happened. Notes that she has child to take care of, which is important. 34. Undated letter to Mrs Davenport from Mary Elizabeth Mytton begging pardon for any way she has disobliged her, is very sensible she lies under the greatest obligation in the world to her mother. Begs her to write to say she is forgiven. 35.
