2. 13 Nov 1716 Letter to Henry Davenport in London from John Hanlee in Fort St David. Grovelling letter hoping for a recommendation to the new governor.
3. 5 Jan 1717 Letter to Henry Davenport from Governor Boone at Bombay. State of trade, fortification and shipbuilding. A dispute with the Portugese involving cannonades and mortars settled to advantage by ending of Portugese customs charges and free passage of their rivers.
4. Copy of letter dated 5 Jan 1717 with further note dated 18 Jan 1716 referring to a malicious contrivance against H Davenport and copies of extracts of letters (perhaps the transcript at 1.)
5. 7 Jan 1717 2 copies of a letter to Henry Davenport from Mr Hastings at Fort St David recommending Mr Berriman as a faithful servant of the Company.
