Description1. 30 May 1732 Letter to Mrs Davenport from Prideaux Sutton. Asks after her health and sends good wishes to Mrs Mytton and hope for a boy. Will do his best to assist her in finding a tutor for "Billy" (William Davenport). He has someone in mind but fears he might be too expensive.
2. 6 May 1732 Letter to Mrs Davenport in Cork Street from T Bendish. Apologises for not waiting for them in town but Mr Bendish has been unwell. She has had a letter from the country reporting that her mother is angry at any report spread to Mr Bendish's advantage: he is offering reassurance.
3. 5 Jun 1732 Letter to Mrs Davenport at Worfield from her sister Mary Sutton. In response to the offer of her husband's picture, asks that it might be taken from the one drawn after his death which they "tell me is more like him". Her nephew and niece visited.
4. Undated letter to Mrs Davenport at Worfield from her sister Arabella Davenport. Discusses ill health in the family and unpaid money by their nephew who doesn't pay them as much as strangers do.
5. Undated letter to Mrs Davenport at Worfield from her daughter Mary Elizabeth Mytton. Sorry to hear that she has been ill and offers to bring Dr Berrington with her when she comes to visit Davenport House soon. Thanks Lucy for her letters but says she is angry at Jenny.
6. Undated letter to Mrs Davenport at Worfield from her cousin B Calthorpe. Thanks her for the many favours he received at Worfield. His lady's horses have all got colds.
7. Undated letter to Mrs Davenport at Worfield from her sister Arabella Davenport. Requests money to be paid to her soon as she is in need of it. Has sent for her nephew Harry's hair to be put in a ring.
8. Undated letter to Mrs Davenport at Worfield from Mary Elizabeth Mytton. Worries about her mother's health. Has had to put off her journey to Chester as she can't leave her daughter who has been ill.
9. Undated letter to Mrs Davenport at Worfield from Mary Elizabeth Mytton concerning a delayed delivery of wine.
10. 17 Nov 1732 Letter to Mrs Davenport at Worfield from Prideaux Sutton giving an account of his wife's improving health. He has not yet heard from the gentleman he wrote to with a proposal to be Billy's tutor but will let her know when he does.
11. Undated letter to Mrs Davenport at Halston from her son Davenport concerning financial matters.
12. Undated letter to Mrs Davenport from her son concerning the division of hay from the White Furlong. Mentions appointment of servants to new positions.
13. Undated letter to Mrs Davenport from her daughter "G D". Thanks her for her goodness to her who is a stranger to this country. Desires a maid.
