Description1. Undated note from Barbara Davenport to Mr Nichols concerning a puppy she has sent to him. On the reverse is the note: "Letter from Mrs Sutton about family July 1734. Letters from Mr Stubbs, copies of mine to several and Mr Colebrook".
2. Undated copy letter from Mary Talbot to her father, writing on behalf of her aunt to say she has signed a letter of attorney from Mr Hay and concerning the ill health of Mrs Davenport and Aunt Talbot.
3. Undated copy letter from Barbara Davenport to unknown apologising for her tardiness in replying and complaining of gout and the old complaint of pain in her back. She also expresses fears for the young folk as smallpox is so much about.
4. Undated copy letter from Barbara Davenport to Mr Colebrook enquiring what has been done about her pearl necklace sent for sale. Also asking if he knows anyone wanting a pair of diamond earrings valued at £420, returned to her after 3 years by her son Sharington who had requested them as a present for his wife but didn't want to pay for them.
5. 9 Jul 1734 Letter from Mary Sutton to Barbara Davenport with news of her social life during her stay in Bath, and subsequent travels. Condemns Barbara's "neighbours" (her son Sharington) for reluctance to pay his aunts their allowances, and his treatment of his mother.
