Description1. Undated letter from Sharington Davenport to his aunt Letitia Davenport to say that he cannot pay his respects to her when she comes to Wolverhampton because of his wife’s hourly expectation of being brought to bed.
2. Undated letter to Mrs Davenport at Worfield possibly from Sharington Davenport to say that her Bridgnorth’s partner’s mother and sisters are going from him and he has taken a housekeeper and three maids.
3. 23 Aug 1738 Letter to Mary Sutton from unknown, possibly Barbara Davenport but addressed to “Cousin”. The writer says she feels she is a burden on the estate. Talks of a bond Mary’s brother Harry gave to her to show her brother Talbot. Talks of her opinion that abuse and hardship of her nephews will one day or other return upon his own daughters. Says it is a pity that children should suffer their parent’s faults. Master Harry has recovered from the measles.
