3. 20 Oct 1768 thanking Davenport for checking the power Llewellyn thought he had over Talbot's affairs: had asked his brother to stay at Margam over Christmas; writing from Switzerland, he describes the area, mentions wine production and the Great Route to Germany and Holland.

6. 30 Jan 1769 thanking him for settling the affair with the coal company, mentions Mr Dowdeswell and Mr Barrow; discusses the Company's proposals and whether he should buy; talks of his health and financial affairs, and says that he is buying lace from a Dutchman the next day.
7. 30 Mar 1769 apologising that a letter received from his friend to Davenport had given Davenport so much trouble. Discusses when he intends to leave Switzerland.

9. Jul 1769 about his previous enquiry into his sister's health. Asks for news of her and suggests that if there is any danger she travel to Nice, Marseilles and Montpellier. Says he intends to start drinking the waters on the following day and has been taking baths for the previous 5 days in preparation.
10. 26 Aug 1769 from Torino about his health and taking waters; says that the estimates for the amount of coal a pottery company would use is exaggerated; talks of arrangements for his horses at Margam and some money needed.
11. 22 Oct 1769 thanking him for telling him about his sister; he hopes her journey to the south of France will not be necessary; discusses his property at Landough, thinks it would be a good idea to grub up the pollard trees in the hedgerows.

14. 23 Dec 1769 thanking him for his letter and his commission. Enquires how the Colliery is doing. Asks Davenport to tell him of his visit to the Landough estate, and hopes that the Lodge Hill wall has been completed as there will be time to plant trees there.
15. 27 Jan 1770 to say he approves of the plan to fell timber on the Landough estate, leaving sufficient to repair buildings. Suggests employing a Woodward. Asks for information on the planting done. He will try and find a suitable lady to accompany his sister next summer, and asks Davenport to tell him how his sister really is.
16. 19 Dec 1770 discussing the advisability of purchasing William Jenkins' land; doubts about whether Dr Warwick will be able to sell land; agrees with Davenport's proposals to improve the moor lands; reports that the Duchess of Beaufort has arrived in Nice.
