Mostly concerning financial matters and John Talbot's will. Many letters are to her agent / lawyer John Parsons and many also refer to Mr Goldney, another agent.
Description1. 4 Jul 1781 to Mr Parsons concerning money Mr Dollemore has in security, a bond between him and Mr Talbot and some cancelled bonds.
2. Jun 1781 to Dr Foley Burns of Brasen Nose College, Oxford, about the above letter and instructions to Mr Parsons.
3. 10 Aug 1781 to Mr Ricketts about freehold, copyhold and leasehold lands of her late husband's.
4. 22 Jul 1781 to Sir Herbert Packington about papers relating to Salwarpe Rectory.
5. 22 Jul 1781 to Mr Parsons about the letter from Sir Herbert Packington and her response, concerning Salwarpe Rectory papers to be delivered back to Packington and her hopes that he has made some progress in her affairs. Including a list of the bills that should be paid first.
6. 16 Aug 1781 to Mr Parsons about payment of debts and receipts, repairs to Salwarpe Rectory and other matters.
7. 10 Aug 1781 to Mr Pearkes apologising for any problems with appraisal of furniture and who should pay for repairs of Salwarpe Rectory.
8. 12 Aug 1781 to Mansel Talbot about a Life Plan for her son, her affairs as managed by Mr Parsons including the Rectory.
9. 24 Aug 1781 to Mr Darke concerning the affair with Mr Pearkes.
10. 24 Aug 1781 to Mr Parsons enclosing a copy of a polite letter from Mr Pearkes and asking for his opinion on Mr Darke being a mediator.
11. 24 Aug 1781 to Mr Pearkes in response to his letter.
12. 5 Sep 1781 to Lord Dudley Ward about a payment due to her, and her reasons for asking for it so quickly.
13. 6 Sep 1781 to Captain Pitts about his help with her son's affairs.
14. 8 Sep 1781 to Mr Harrison acknowledging a sum of money received.
15. 17 Oct 1781 to Mr Parsons concerning the affairs with Mr Pearkes, an award that has been drawn up and some documents that Mr Pearkes desires.
Also asks him to pay Mrs Corfield who takes care of her son, John.
16. 28 Nov 1781 to Mr Parsons asking him to pay Mrs Corfield, and the deeds relating to Salwarpe.
17. 28 Nov 1781 to Mr Drummond asking if Lord Dudley Ward has paid any money in to the bank for her use.
18. Loose document in two pieces to Lord Dudley Ward to say no money has been received from him.
19. 29 Nov 1781 to Mr Darke about some trouble with tenants at Charlton who owe rent.
20. 30 Nov 1781 to unknown recipient, possibly Mr Parsons, asking him to deliver some writings to Mr Pearkes and about the settlement of her affairs at Lacock.
21. 5 Jan 1782 to Mr Harding wanting to know what money she is expecting.
22. 25 Dec 1782 to Thomas Berrington about the Box and copy of the freehold.
23. 25 Dec 1782 to Mr Woodhouse to know if Mr Parsons had been over and what was coming to her from Salthrope.
24. 19 Jan 1782 to Mr Parsons asking him to give further papers to Mr Pearkes; also concerning various bills and requests for payment of interest.
25. 19 Jan 1782 to Mr Berrington from Miss Davenport (Barbara) mostly about her mother's concerns about large bills for disbursements from Mr Higgins.
26. 20 Mar 1782 to unknown recipient, possibly Mr Parsons, about her affairs at Worcester, settlement of various bills and disbursements, interest payments and her daughters' fortunes.
27. Extract of a letter from Mr Parsons to Dr Popham enclosing title deeds and an extract from Mrs Sutton's will concerning her freeholds in Bredon, an extract from Rev Dr Davenport's will and the hopeful settlement with Mr Pearkes.
28. Note, possibly to Mr Parsons, concerning a message from Dr Popham and asking him to write to her himself about her affairs as Dr Popham knows nothing about her Worcestershire business and about the extracts referred to in the above letter.
29. 8 Aug 1782 draft letter to Mr Parsons concerning Bredon affairs, about a request for a lease from Mr Pearkes, some copies of terriers and updating him on her son at Oxford.
30. 6 Aug 1782 to Dr Pearkes to say she cannot send Mr Rayer's lease and she hopes everything is settled between them.
31. 18 Jul 1782 to Mrs Davenport at Lacock from Roborough Camp from William Davenport Talbot, with a copy of a letter from Nathaniel Flone about the Wiltshire Militia and his thoughts about taking on a new position.
32. 27 Jun 1782 to Mrs Davenport at Lacock from William Davenport Talbot at Taunton about his move to Roborough and his colleagues and asking her to send some items.
33. 22 Jul 1782 to Captain Howe thanking him for his attention to her son, William.
34. 30 Aug 1782 to Captain Howe about her son's possible move to the Wiltshire Militia offered by Captain Howe and Lord Porchester.
35. 18 Sep 1782 to Mr Stokes concerning the legacy left to the child Spicer (from John Talbot) and a petition relating to that which will go to the Treasury.
36. 4 Sep 1782 to Lord Shelborne about John Talbot's affairs and an event relating to them and saying that the matter must be decided by him as First Lord of the Treasury.
37. 18 Sep 1782 to Lord Shelborne about Dr Popham advising her to have nothing to do with lawyers and is relying on Lord Shelborne's friendship.
38. 25 Sep 1782 Note saying the Memorial drawn out by Mr Stokes which Lord Shelborne has received and promised to undertake this affair without any further trouble or expense on her part.
39. Apr 1782 Draft letter to Mr Beadle thanking him for a sum of £200 due for interest.
40. 1782 Draft letter to Mr Ricketts about freehold and copyhold rents.
41. 27 Mar 1782 Draft letter to Mr Stokes concerning the settlement for her daughters and money left to them and Lord Dudley's mortgage.
42. 28 Jul 1782 to Martha Davenport from William Colborne asking for a discharge of £200 due to him on the bond of the late Dr Davenport, with Martha Davenport's answer apologising for not having paid sooner but will pay as soon as she can.
43. 1778-1782 Mrs Davenport's account of payments to family members and others on account, for interest and for rent (2 pages).
44. 1778-1780 Note of Sawyer's account of payments.
45. 14 Jan 1782 Draft letter to Mr Parsons about papers relating to Bredon and repairs to the rectory, some discrepancies with bills and account matters.
46. 1782 Copy of letter to Mr Beach of Netheravon concerning raising money for the payment of her daughters' fortunes and other legacies.
