Description | 1. 4 Nov 1718 Letter from W Carvile to Henry Davenport asking him to reimburse himself of any charges he has made on Mr Carvile's behalf about his subsistence payment being stopped as he was appointed to a regiment in Ireland by King George and he has bills on Colonel Campbell. 2. 23 Dec 1718 Letter from W Carvile to Henry Davenport regarding a letter he had sent in September and a letter he had received with a bill of exchange. He is worried that there is a miscarriage because he hasn't heard from him in reply. 3. 23 Jan 1719 Letter from John Harvey to John Ivory Talbot stating he had received his letter and remittance and Mr Talbot Ivory's letter of advice. Mrs Ivory and her children are thankful of his extraordinary favours. 4. 26 Dec 1718 Letter from James Harvey to Henry Davenport regarding information from Mr Ivory about his father's last will and testament and asking him to pay any sums as soon as possible as children are able to control own fortunes. 5. 3 Apr 1719 Letter from James Harvey to John Ivory Talbot regarding the decision to compound desperate debts so that can continue the process. 6. 18 Dec 1718 Letter from Mary Ivory to John Ivory Talbot telling of the death of her husband and their need for him to continue as their friend as part of her daughter's estate is in England. 7. 17 Aug 1719 Affidavit from Gyles Johnson requesting the money owed to him from the late Honourable Major General Davenport's estate in his position as quartermaster of the Prince of Wales regiment. Also a letter from Talbot Ivory to his brother about the sale of some horses and furniture. Also he hopes his sister is safely delivered. 8. 9 Aug 1718 Letter from Buchanan to unknown regarding correspondence about a bill, and needing further advice. 9. 26 Sep 1718 Letter from Buchanan to unknown stating that further vouchers are needed or attempt to make people pay will not work. 10. 1 Dec 1719 Letter from William Marshall to Henry Davenport sending condolences on his brother's death and that he was pleased he was able to help by writing his will. 11. Accounts of Colonel Carvile for 1714-1718. 12. 5 Jan 1720 Letter from James Taylor to John Ivory Talbot stating that he had drawn money on him and could he let him know the exchange rate for Ireland. 13. 13 Jun 1719 Letter from W Carvile to Henry Davenport asking him to pay money to his daughter Margaret Brownjohn out of his annuity. 14. 8 Dec 1719 Letter from W Carvile to Henry Davenport about the money to be paid to his daughter Brownjohn. 15. 6 May 1718 Letter from W Carvile to Henry Davenport asking him to approach Lord Stanhope about his pension, and show him a copy of the memorial. The memorial states that he served for over 30 years in Ireland, Flanders, Spain and Portugal, his son died in the wars, he rose in rank and now at the age of 75 requests a pension. 16. Undated letter from Mr Chamberlayne to Henry Davenport regarding a commission which will take place at 12 o'clock if he brings a banknote for the sum. 17. 21 Aug 1718 Letter from W Carvile to Henry Davenport regarding a bill of exchange and that he hoped Colonel Gardner would help as he always had a good opinion of him. 18. 18 Oct 1718 Letter from W Carvile to Henry Davenport saying as he hadn't heard from him he supposed that Colonel Gardner would not help so he would like some advice. 19. 18 Oct 1718 Will of Thomas Ivory. 20. 17 Oct 1717 Agreement between Thomas Ivory and Mary Ivory concerning the third part of the late John Radford's personal estate. John Radford died intestate. 21. 1718 Order from Thomas Ivory to Henry Davenport to pay Caesar Colclough, with receipt.
