Description1. 8 Mar 1728 to Barbara Davenport regarding buying silk curtains for the ballroom which unfortunately, were purchased by somebody else.
2. 7 Mar 1717 to Barbara Davenport about not being able to return as he has to attend a General Court at the East India House.
3. 6 Dec 1716 to Barbara Davenport about returning home.
4. Undated letter to Barbara Davenport advising that he would not be home as planned due to bad weather.
5. 18 Feb 1729 to Barbara Davenport enquiring after her teeth. He has paid Mrs Frankland's bill and has letters to write to his son and nephew at Cambridge.
6. 19 Feb 1729 to Barbara Davenport about his writing to the Secretary at the War Office for directions and that the affairs in Cambridge give him much uneasiness.
7. 24 Sep 1716 from H Brigger to Henry Davenport who has had an answer from the Duke of Kingston who is willing to oblige when Henry is in London next.
8. 30 Sep 1721 to Barbara Davenport, upset that the postman's maid only delivered a letter for John and not one for him but then she returned shortly afterwards with a letter and apologised. Large chunk has been cut out of this letter.
9. Undated letter to Barbara Davenport advising that he had spent all day in the City and only just got her letter.
10. 17 Feb 1725 to Barbara Davenport answering her letters and hoping she has followed his directions about the plasterer and having wheels made for a wagon - other building work and farm animal matters. He has received a bill for £25.2.2 for her clothes and necessities.
11. 13 Oct 1713 Copy of a letter to Governor Dulivier asking if he can move the whole Garrison.
12. Two undated letters on one piece of paper, the first from Henry Davenport to his brother regarding the death of the Prebend of Worcester and talks about the Bishop of Sarum; the second to Nurse Dorcas written by Henry Davenport on behalf of his son.
