Discusses staff, Wooley and Rowley, who seem to have fallen out with each other. 3. Feb 1725 from Barbara Davenport about going out to visit Harry. Talks about a bad journey where her carriage nearly turned over when the shafts broke. 4. Undated letter from Mary Hallifax upset over the death of Mr Milivard, her steward and friend. Requesting his eldest daughter is spared to go live with her in the winter. 5. 3 Sep 1719 from Talbot Ivory apologising for removing receipts. The black gelding is in fine order and he hopes to dispose of him in time. A note at the end "for the malender" which is a remedy for the horse's leg. 6. 26 Sep 1720 from Peter Davenport about paying a bond and enclosing a bill. 7. Robert Barrett has paid the money without taking any notice of Henry's command. The French are busy in India and have taken Manila Ship belonging to Fort St George. Writes about other ships and their cargo. Discusses the campaign against the French and the Conditions of Peace. The writer requests an account of the management of Fort St George and all transactions and knowledge of trade in general - not to be part of a letter, but unsigned so he can show it to some people who may be willing to serve him.
