He will send a voucher, depending on whether there are any more demands on Mr Davenport. He says that Mr Davenport is well. 17. States he was "tied up at all points" and gave directions for the payment of the draft to Cavendish Square. 25. 28 Oct 1799 Letter to William Talbot from Louis Bazalgette regarding unpaid bills from 1796/7; stating that he presumes it had escaped his notice they had not been paid and requesting remittance; encloses the bill. 26. Bill for Captain Talbot from Gray & Constable for jewellery including diamond earrings and a pearl necklace; further bill on same paper for more jewellery including a diamond locket. On back states the latter amount and not paid. 27. 8 Apr 1800 Letter to William Talbot from Turner & Seymour regarding several requests to Lady Elizabeth Talbot from Mr Wattleworth to pay his small demand; Mr Wattleworth has now gone out of business and Turner & Seymour have been instructed to collect his debts. 28. 25 Jun 1800 Letter to William Davenport Talbot from the treasurer of subscribers, for arrears of subscriptions for the ease of Sheriffs of Wiltshire for 2 years. 4 local persons' names given to pay them to. 29. 17 Feb 1794 Letter to Miss Davenport regarding her brother owing 2 years of interest of £200 to Mr Martin of Buckland, now deceased and the executors requesting Mr Scott, Broadway, Worcestershire to ask her for the money. Also to let them know if he has returned from abroad and, if so, his address. |
