Description | 1. 24 Dec 1802 from John Field returning the copies of her marriage settlements and informing her that payment of a bond is due to the estate of Thomas Mansel Talbot. 2. 12 Aug 1803 from John Field confirming that Colonel Strangways is prepared to pay some money owed on a bond and still awaiting the account of Mr Busby. 3. 29 May 1804 from John Field explaining that Mr Busby will not release vital documents, including full marriage settlement and deeds and an eventual annuity bond from Mr Mansel Talbot, until his bill is paid. But he delivered them to Lord Ilchester in confidence only, but only for his own needs. Colonel Strangways is prepared to pay part of bill relating to annuity bond and other belonging to him as executor. 4. 8 Jun 1804 from John Field saying that Colonel Strangways has paid the £8 he owes to Mr Busby and that she owes £45. Busby has no legal method of enforcing payment that's why he is cautious. There were two parts of each deed of settlement executed and no duplicates or counterparts of the bonds. 5. 23 Jun 1804 from John Field on behalf of Colonel Strangways saying that for her to receive money from Mansel's bond she must pay Mr Busby in full due to death of Mr Beardsworth, one of his partners. He also points out the danger of important documents being lost if the case persists. 6. 13 Jun 1805 from John Field concerning her role as administrix of Mansel Talbot's estate and her refusal to pay Mr Busby's bill. The bond has been delivered that the colonel found after search of all places, but lease of Lacock Abbey was not found. She had also received annuity from Earl of Ilchester's estate and complains of two years' tax having been deducted. 7. 5 Feb 1806 from John Field concerning papers connected to Mr Talbot's plate and querying the sums raised on it by Lady Feilding in 1802. Lord Ilchester advanced large amount to her, and Colonel wishes her to inform him how that account stands. 8. 10 Feb 1806 from John Field concerning the lease at Lacock wanted by Mr Whitcombe, and that her account of the plate agrees with documents found. 9. 20 Jul 1806 from John Field confirming that he is sending on cash owed to her for part of late Mr Talbot's plate and confirming that Colonel Strangways is happy in principal for her to keep plate. He also asks her to pay Mr Busby's bill. The colonel will make further search but little hope of finding Lady Shrewsbury's lease. 10. 6 Nov 1806 from John Field apologising for sending her half year's annuity to the wrong destination and saying that Colonel Strangways will not release the bond until Mr Busby is paid. 11. 23 Jun 1838 from Stilwell saying they cannot pay dividends for stock in the name of Mr Talbot. 12.
