Undated letter from Edmund Bray to John Talbot telling him he had been in Oxfordshire and had been told by Smith of Farmington that after the appointment of Mr Dutton, old landmark boundaries between Sherborne and Farmington had been removed to the "prejudice of Mrs Jones". Bray had visited Sir Ralph at Sherborne who had shown him the land was in dispute for years. Says young Mr More had cut down four oaks for timber to repair the barn at Farmington. He reports that the repairs will be much more expensive than expected, but that it had to be done so that the tenants' grain could be stored. 11. Undated part of an account or letter from unknown mentioning payment to Mr Freckleton by Lady Hamilton; Robin Hardy's bill at his master's death; Robert Yonge at Paris; Mr Bray; monies payable at Metz, Paris, Lille, but never made because the supposed recipient was killed. 14. The widow Hungerford is executrix. 23. 5 Dec 1673 Letter from Rowland Belasyse to Sir John Talbot to say he had heard that Mr Freckleton had received money from Sir Stephen Fox, had paid Lord Hanley and kept £100 for himself, but there is another bond to Mr Andrews which could be paid with the money. Mention of French debts. Gyles was a tenant of Sir Henry Jones and is telling Talbot that he was away from home when tenants were granted an abatement due to the floods that year. Asks Talbot for a similar easement on his rent as had been granted to other tenants. 33. 15 Dec 1675 Letter from Edmund Bray to Sir John Talbot confirming he is coming to London to meet with him and other trustees. 34. 21 Feb 1676 Letter from Edmund Bray to Sir John Talbot to say he is trying to organize a meeting between himself, Rowland Bellasyse ,Cole and Talbot.
