Title
Letter from Gwen (Plunkett-Greene)
Description
Thanks EO for her warm letter and the £1 - would buy a lot for the poor child whom she is not allowed to see or even to write to. All due to? Sir W Wilcox who says she (Brenda?) is back on the drugs because she has seen too many men. Changed this to visitors when he found she had seen no men. The visits were Gwen, 3 from David and 4 from her mother. Cannot explain her absence to Brenda as not allowed to write. Going before the court again next week. Sorry to hear EO was ill all the time she was in Rome but she did get to kiss Pope's ring. David couldn't have his cottage and still looking for a job. Gwen's income has disappeared - no dividend or valueless on her list of securities. Thanks EO for remembering it will be her birthday on Monday.
