Description
Re Mr Walkley - Ella Hayden was their 'washerwoman' after Betty Giles died. She enjoyed Sarum Close too as Ted was at the choir school for a short time before being taken away to be educated by Dr Bourne. Dr Bourne was a great friend as was Alfred Rivington. They knew Mr Pullen very well - an odd man with a sandy beard. Had E heard the news that Ted's only son died aged 27 (her godson). Concerned at the thought that a war may be imminent.
