She talks of her work with the charity "Men of Science, Prisoner of War". They send study books to P.O.W.'s in Europe. Compares linguistic facilities in British and U.S. universities. Baron de Staël von Holstein toldher (in Peking) that he had hoped to study Sanskrit and Hindustan at Oxford but found they were not offered. He had to go to the university of Bombay instead.
