Title
Letter from Y. Ellis - Encloses Press Cuttings.
Description
Thanks for letter of congratulations for discovering Nova Poppis. Delayed in answering because received a lot of letters and has to continue his day job of inshore fishing. Interest in stars purely scientific but seems remarkable that the star has been discovered at the time when the war is turning in our favour. A new star (Nova Aquilae) flared up in June 1918 - 5 months before the end of the last war.
Cuttings 1-1940 - Frozen Rain
- Christmas 1942 : A Yellow Christmas
- Widespread song of thrushes
- A New Star Reported : Mr T. Ellis of Llandudno
- Thrushes Autumn Song
