Description70 pp. & plus; 205 ff. The 'B' indicates that it belongs to the bishop, as opposed to a similar volume, 'C', belonging to the chapter (Liber Evidentiarum C is in the custody of the Cathedral Librarian). It contains copies of royal and other charters (including Magna Carta [1225] and the Forest charter, compositions, ordinances, etc., and was mostly written in the early 14th century, but with 15th and 16th century additions. Agreement between Mayor and commonalty and Bishop of Salisbury relating to the tenure of burgesses, appointment and duties of officers, administration of justice, assessment of taxation and regulation of trade, with separate list of citizens party to the agreement, 1306 (ff 154r-158r) copy of G23/1/222.
Survey of the lands of Edward Mychell, succentor [sub chantor] of the cathedral in Stratford sub Castle, 1535 (ff 214r-215r); includes a reference to St John's house.
The items are numbered continuously, and a large part of the contents is the same as that of the Registrum Rubrum ff 24r-31v is an index of this part, though not of the whole book.
