Presentation deeds by the Patron: to the bishop, 1625, 1632-1635, 1641-1646 and 1660-1978. There are also testimonials, and until 1732 there are bonds to indemnify the bishop from any difficulties which might arise through the institution. Other related documents found with the deeds are resignations, nominations to cures, 'certificates of distance', letters, court papers and verdicts about disputed presentations; occasionally there are papers about schoolmasters or surgeons. |
